The holidays in Colorado Ski Country USA are nothing short of magical. From dazzling torchlight parades to s'more-filled après celebrations and Santa sightings, celebrating on the slopes of Colorado Ski Country USA is an experience you’ll never forget.

Holidays Sparkle in Colorado Ski Country USA

  • Purgatory Resort | December 22, 12:00 pm

Enjoy an ugly sweater parade down the mountain. Wear Grandma’s old reindeer sweater, that questionable gift from your cousin, or a hilarious find from the thrift store. There will be prizes for the best/worst sweaters on the mountain!

  • Granby Ranch | December 22 - December 23, 11am-4:30pm

Santa and Mrs. Claus are making a special stop at Granby Ranch this holiday season. Kids can enjoy story time, take photos with Santa, and drop off their letters to the North Pole.

  • Copper Mountain | December 24, 2024 at 6pm

Ski for the day and join in celebrating the holiday season with a DJ and torchlight parade, followed by fireworks. Enjoy the free event at Eagle's Landing in Center Village.

  • Loveland Ski Area | Ski with Santa December 24-25

Try to keep up with Santa as he makes his way around Loveland Ski Area, spreading Christmas cheer.

  • Winter Park | Tuesday, December 24 at 5:30pm

Enjoy the dazzling Torchlight Parade, a holiday tradition with a lighted ski-down, snowcats, fireworks, Santa, and lots of holiday cheer.

  • Telluride | December 24, 6:30pm

The Christmas Eve Torchlight Parade will start at the top of the Gondola and head down into the Town of Telluride. Watch as Telluride Ski & Snowboard School instructors meander down the mountain with torches to light up the mountainside. ​

  • Steamboat | Dec. 28, 2024, 3pm

Celebrate the Festival of Light with the Jewish Community of Steamboat at the Steamboat Stage at the base of the mountain. Join local Jewish teens for a service of song, light, and joy in a heartwarming Hanukkah celebration.

Ring in New Year's Eve in Colorado Ski Country USA

  • Arapahoe Basin | New Year's Eve Moonlight Dinner Series

Enjoy a spectacular New Year’s Eve at Black Mountain Lodge with live music from special guest Hazel Miller & The Collective. Ride the Black Mountain Express, snowshoe, or skin under the stars to the mid-mountain lodge where you'll tuck into a chef-prepared buffet-style feast.

  • Powderhorn Mountain Resort | New Year's Eve Celebration

Ring in the New Year with an unforgettable evening featuring a dazzling torchlight parade, spectacular fireworks show, and live music. Bring the whole family to celebrate and create lasting memories on the slopes.

  • Steamboat | New Year's Eve Snowcat Parade 5:30pm

The night kicks off with five snowcats, decked out in thousands of twinkling lights, leading the way down the mountain. Then Steamboat Snow Sports Instructors will glide down the slopes, performing synchronized skiing, illuminated by glowing torches. The celebration concludes with a stunning fireworks display, lighting up the sky to welcome 2025 in dazzling style.

New Year, New Ways to Be Active in Colorado Ski Country USA

  • Monarch Mountain | Uphill Climb December 31, 7:30am

Celebrate the end of 2024 and welcome 2025 with an uphill climb, bling and dancing with the Salida Sax Guy on the lodge deck. Kick off the day with an early morning climb to the top of Panorama to toast in the New Year! Meet in the base area to start the climb and celebrate the sunrise of New Year's Eve!

  • Eldora | January 3, 10am and 1pm

Join us for Ski with a Ranger Day! Our Forest Service Ranger will offer guided tours from the trail map at the top of Alpenglow!

  • Buttermilk | X Games January 23-25

X Games, the world’s premier action sports competition, returns to Buttermilk Mountain from January 23-25, 2025. Fans can look forward to an exciting weekend packed with top-tier competition as more than 100 of the best athletes in skiing and snowboarding compete in iconic events, including SuperPipe, Slopestyle, Big Air, and Knuckle Huck.

  • Sunlight Mountain Resort | Moonlight Race Series January - March

Test your mettle in this 4-race series happening monthly throughout the ski season. Racers may choose a long or short course each night. The entire course is marked with reflective thumbtacks that the racers follow with their headlamps. Every racer gets a chance to win prizes.
